The City of New Bedford announced its slate of events for the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, including a number of memorial events and the traditional parade.
Folks began referring to the area around the intersection of Weld and Purchase Streets in New Bedford as Weld Square. It is not Weld Square, and it never was.
