And raising money, i came and i was like, you think we could build one or two in michigan? kid rock got his start in the 1990s, and he s gone on to sell more than 25 million albums in the united states. still, he s always been grounded by his midwestern roots. his heart has always been with the troops. i live in clarkston michigan. i feel connected to people who serve. when i was growing up, i had an uncle serve in vietnam and a grandfather in world war ii. i was raised very patriotic, love my country and just want to do everything i can to support people out there fighting the good fight.
