An outbuilding on a property east of La Center burned down Friday morning after callers reported hearing explosions coming from the structure, according to Clark-Cowlitz Fire Rescue.
A barn fire Monday morning in Woodland threatened the lives of three goats inside, according to Clark Cowlitz Fire Rescue. Crews were able to free the animals, but the barn was a total loss, Fire Chief John Nohr said.
As a bomb cyclone brought whipping winds and heavy rains Sunday and Monday through Clark County, more than 5,000 residents lost power, according to Clark Public Utilities.
