Concerned motorists contacted the police when a car being driven across the Kessock Bridge was swerving about the road.
Officers caught up with Stuart Strang (37), from Elphin, near Lairg, on October 4 2019, and stopped his vehicle.
Inverness Sheriff Court was told that Strang was parked in a lay-by and vomiting when officers approached him.

A DRIVER from Sutherland took to the wheel after consuming a huge amount of medication, a court heard.
Stuart Strang (37), Elphin, came to police attention after his vehicle swerved about the road as it crossed the Kessock Bridge, to the concern of other motorists.
