McLaren Thumb Region President and CEO Michael Johnston will be leaving the company and state at the end of April and said he will miss the Upper Thumb.Scott Nunn/Huron Daily Tribune
For a little more than three years Michael Johnston was the president and CEO of McLaren Thumb Region, but now he bids adieu to a community he has grown to love.
Johnston said his decision to leave the Upper Thumb and head to his new position in Minneapolis, Minnesota wasn’t an easy one.
“It is bittersweet,” Johnston said. “I wasn’t looking to leave.” ....

BAY CITY, MI McLaren Bay Region is opening its visitor access to one healthy visitor per patient, the hospital has announced.
One healthy visitor per patient will be allowed at the hospital, 1900 Columbus Ave. in Bay City, in non-COVID areas. The new visitor policy will go into effect Monday, Feb. 1.
Visitors will be screened upon entry and must be over the age of 16. Visitors will be required to wear a mask, according to a McLaren Bay news release. ....
