Fairfield businessman Gary Carter had his appeal to be placed back on the primary election ballot heard in Sangamon County Court yesterday afternoon. The hearing was to take place Monday morning but was postponed, and Carter says yesterday's hearing ended with an unfavorable decision to his campaign. The circuit judge ruled to keep Carter off the ballot for House District 116, the new district which will encompass much of our listening area. According to our sister station in Carmi, at approximately 11:34, White County police responded to northwestern White County to a report of a crash.
