Some German Catholic Priests to Defy Pope Francis, Plan to Bless Gay Unions Despite Vatican Ban

Germany s powerful Catholic progressives are openly defying a recent pronouncement from the Roman Catholic Church that priests cannot bless same-sex unions by offering such blessings at services in about 100 different churches all over the country this week.
The blessings at open worship services are the latest pushback from German Catholics against a Vatican document released in March. 
As CBN News reported, the Vatican s orthodoxy office, the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, said Catholic clergy cannot bless same-sex unions because God cannot bless sin. ....

German Catholic group calls on bishops to unite with Rome


Madrid, Spain, Mar 2, 2017 / 05:43 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Pablo Ráez was just 21 years old when he died last Saturday in Spain. But the young man, a devout Catholic, made a difference in the world, helping increase bone marrow donations in his home city by more than 1,000 percent.
Ráez was a native of Marbella in Malaga, Spain. After being diagnosed with leukemia two years ago, he began to share his daily struggles and positive attitude with his more than 300,000 followers on Facebook.
With a strong faith and a desire to live, he fought to encourage donations of bone marrow, which are critical in fighting leukemia. ....
