The Main Line produced a fine number of outstanding swimmers this past winter. At Conestoga, senior Jake Wang, who was named the Boys Swimmer of the Meet at the PIAA 3A Swimming and Diving Championships for the second year in a row, led the Pioneer boys team to a best-ever second-place finish. Lower Merion, led by senior Alexa Conner, who finished second in two individual events at States, finished ninth in the PIAA 3A girls team competition

Friends Central Aquatics swimmers shine at Middle Atlantic Senior Championships

Friends Central Aquatics (FCA) finished fourth in the girls competition at the recent Middle Atlantic Senior Championships at Keystone Aquat-ics Center in Carlisle. FCA had four girls competing - Clara Behling, Hope Lane, Annika Naveen and Claire Pillar. The quartet broke team records in the 200 free relay (1:38.13, third place) and 200 medley relay (1:49.32, fifth place). Behling broke team records in the 200 IM (2:08.70), 400 IM (4:33.97) and 200 breast (2:23.83). - Advertisement - Lane broke the team record in the 100 free (53.16). All four girls swam at least one personal best and totaled 10 PRs out of 14 individual races.
