Victim was not wearing a life-jacket

The boater reported missing in Lake St. Clair on Sunday, June 6th has been recovered.
Today at approximately 10:35am a boater on Lake St. Clair discovered a body floating in the lake and notified the OPP.
Members of the Essex County OPP Marine Unit, Chatham-Kent OPP Marine Unit and OPP Underwater Search and Recovery unit recovered the body of the missing boater in the water off Claireview Drive in Lakeshore.
The victim was not wearing a life-jacket.
The coroner attended the scene and a post mortem has been scheduled for tomorrow in Windsor, Ontario.

The remains of a lone boater missing in Lake St. Clair since last weekend have been recovered, said Essex County OPP on Thursday.
Police said the body of the 58-year-old missing man was spotted by another boater in the waters close to Claireview Drive in Lakeshore during the morning hours.

OPP were notified and marine units from Essex County OPP and Chatham-Kent OPP attended the location, along with OPP West Region’s underwater search and recovery unit.
