Candidate. he is running as an independent because you can t win a race as independent and utah. i don t know who s gonna win that race, i will say this for mcmullin. he is a republican even if now he is an independent. i base that on two things. one, he ran as a republican, or candidate, which running mate 25th in 2016 against president trump. senator lee acknowledges that he voted for mcmullen, even though they are running against each other now, in 2016, as a protest vote. the other thing is that mcmullen is representing this sort of never trump wing of the party. i don t think you can cast him as a democrat, even though you are right, scott, democrats are backing him now. well we will see. i remember, what was it, 2012. angus king, whether he caucus for the democrats or not he almost ended up doing so. do you all claim mcmullin, you are funding him. what we are not funding him. what i will say, he is coming to washington d. c. and he is, and benton. very slim majority.
