Tributes to loved ones from across north Essex lost to Covid

Mr Greenaway, 62, had moved to Point Clear, St Osyth, from London 18 years ago. The hard-working handyman, however, had spent the last three years of his life in a care home in Ipswich following an operation which left him with brain damage. Partner Michelle Joyce said: I was heartbroken when he passed. “He was such a lovely man and I will really miss him. “He loved fishing and supported Manchester United Football Club. He worked as a bricklayer and painter and decorator. “I want people to realise how serious coronavirus is and I urge everyone to please, just stay at home.

£440m contract to create joined up care for patients in north Essex

PATIENTS in north Essex are set for more joined up community care thanks to a new alliance between hospitals, GPs, businesses and charities. The North East Essex Integrated Community Services (NICS) will be responsible for providing services, such as community nursing, stroke rehabilitation and community beds, in Colchester and Tendring from July. The service is made up from the East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust, GP Primary Choice, Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and Virgin, which provides children’s services. A new partnership has been awarded the £440million ten-year contract to run the new joined-up community healthcare service by the NHS North East Essex Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG).

Tendring has recorded 9,524 Covid-19 cases since the start of the pandemic
