Red Cross Society starts oxygen concentrator bank for Covid-19 patients in Ludhiana | Ludhiana News

As many as 25 oxygen concentrators have been donated by NGO to the administration which would be given to the needy patients through the bank.
LUDHIANA: With Ludhiana witnessing an unabated surge in the Covid cases and increasing demand for oxygen, the Red Cross Society has started an oxygen concentrator bank for the patients requiring the support of life-saving gas in home isolation.
Inaugurating the bank in Red Cross Bhawan, deputy commissioner accompanied by Civil Surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia Gill and others, informed that as many as 25 oxygen concentrators have been donated by NGO to the administration which would be given to the needy patients through the bank. ....

Ludhiana (Punjab) [India] May 12 (ANI): To augment the health infrastructure especially in the rural hinterland which has been witnessing a spurt in COVID-19 infections, the district administration on Tuesday stated that a 50-bedded Covid Care Centre will start its operations at Sant Ishar Singh Memorial Hospital, Ludhiana from May 14 onwards.
This centre is being set up to combat the devastating second wave of pandemic effectively.
Inspecting the building and other requisite health facilities in the hospital, Deputy CommissionerVarinder Kumar Sharma accompanied by ADC (D) Sandeep Kumar, SDM Payal Mankanwal Chahal, Civil Surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia Gill, Senior Congress leader Gurdev Singh Lapran said that this hospital building is an ideal place for starting COVID-19 care centre and will have 50 oxyge ....

Ludhiana (Punjab) [India], May 2 (ANI): Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma on Sunday directed all private hospitals on board, to immediately increase the bed capacity to at least 25 per cent by today evening to ensure the treatment to all COVID-19 patients.
Presiding over a virtual meeting with hospitals along with ADC (D) Sandeep Kumar, DDLG Amit Bambi and Civil Surgeon Dr Kiran Ahluwalia Gill, Deputy Commissioner said that with the virulent spread of deadliest coronavirus in the district and filling up of almost all level-3 beds, there is an immediate need to scale up the bed capacity and directed health institutions to add at least 25 per cent more beds of their total capacity to cater the increasing number of COVID-19 cases. ....
