ROCKFORD  Lafakeria Vaughn, an assistant city attorney for the city of Rockford, has been appointed the new Civil Bureau chief for the Winnebago County State s Attorney s Office.
State’s Attorney J. Hanley made the announcement Thursday.
Vaughn worked for nearly seven years as an attorney in the city s legal department, where she prosecuted city ordinance violations, litigated small claims cases, foreclosure petitions, property tax appeals as well as advised the Rockford City Council Code and Regulation Committee, Rockford City Council Planning and Development Committee, Zoning Board of Appeals and the Liquor and Tobacco Advisory Board. ....
