　　2020年5月13日，彭庆文因癌症去世，年仅57岁。同年5月底，村干部在岳阳县黄沙街镇和谐村村部收拾其遗物时，发现了30多本扶贫日记。这些日记记录着彭庆文三年来扶贫工作的片段，到2019年12月20日，彭庆文的日记写到“两本手册脱贫年限未写”“三年规划未盖章”等问题，至此日记戛然而止――他因病入院再也没有回到扶贫岗位。
　　今年6月22日，最高人民检察院与中共湖南省委在湖南省长沙市联合召开表彰大会，追授彭庆文同志“全国模范检察干部”“湖南省优秀共产党员”称号，他的部分扶贫日记也随之公开。
