Bad news if you’ve been using Justin Bieber as a bellwether for post-COVID life (as one does): his arena tour has been postponed once again.
Now, he’s rescheduled the tour once again and renamed it the Justice World Tour after the album he released in March. The new 52-date 2022 tour will hit Toronto three times: March 25, June 7 and 8.
Will the shows happen? That’s almost a year from now, so we really hope so, but even with nearly 50 per cent of Canadians getting their first jab, it’s still hard to predict a concert with a capacity in the tens of thousands. You can gamble with a ticket on sale now at Ticketmaster, starting at $94. ....

The Horseshoe Tavern has been having a tough time throughout the pandemic.
Like other Toronto concert venues, the iconic watering hole has been mostly closed for in-person live music since last March. But the historic Queen West bar has been trying to make a go of it, putting on its first livestream concerts in over seven decades. But even those have been postponed multiple times due to Ontario lockdown restrictions. ....

Toronto s Horseshoe Tavern has announced Chill-O-Rama, a drive-in and livestream weekend festival taking place at the city s own CityView Drive-In this summer.
Running from July 15 to 17, Horseshoe Tavern s Chill-O-Rama will bring Jim Cuddy Band, Stars, Skydiggers, the Sadies, Elliott BROOD, Ellis and Arc Sound to the city s newest waterfront venue.
The festivities will kick off on July 15 with performances by Jim Cuddy Band and Arc Sound. The July 16 lineup will then see performances by Stars and Ellis, and the festival will conclude on July 17 with performances by Skydiggers, the Sadies and Elliott BROOD. ....

Stars of Canada's Drag race to perform at drive-in shows in Toronto this summer

The second show, on July 10, will also feature Banks as well as Kiara, JuiceBoxx, Ivory Towers and Miss Fiercalicious.
Similar concerts are also scheduled to take place on August 21, September 18 and October 9, and the performers for each show will be announced in the coming weeks.
Tickets for the first two shows are already on sale and they start at $120 per car.
Ontario s current stay-at-home order, in place until at least May 19, does not allow for drive-in shows, and the potential for it to be extended means there s a chance these shows could be cancelled or postponed.
Still, the hope is that Ontario s COVID-19 situation will continue to improve, allowing for drive-in events to go ahead this summer just like last year. ....

Tynomi Banks to headline drive-in drag shows in Toronto this summer

A monthly drag concert series will take over CityView Drive-In on Saturday nights this summer.
Recent NOW cover star and Canada’s Drag Race season 1 queen Tynomi Banks will headline the first two Drive ‘N Queens Summer Series shows, which is scheduled to kick off on June 12. Canada’s Drag Race queens Jimbo and Lemon are also on the bill, as are Toronto’s Jada Hudson and Aurora Matrix.
The second drive-in drag show will feature Montreal’s Kiara and Toronto performers JuiceBoxx, Ivory Towers and Miss Fiercalicious on July 10. Performers for shows on August 21, September 18 and October 9 will be announced in the coming weeks. ....
