From supporting local gigs at the Northern Sound System (NSS) to working on international touring acts such as U2 and Elton John, Michael Murphy is striking the right note in the music industry.
Michael, 20, has volunteered at NSS for about seven years after finding out about the youth-music facility from a friend and then attending programs, Bangers n Mashups and Check 1, 2.
From participant to now volunteering in these music programs, Michael has learned how to use technical equipment and manage events. ....

Kelsey started volunteering for Playford 10, a City of Playford project that works with year 4 and 5 students to connect them to ongoing activities, in 2020.
She first found out about the program when she enrolled into her teaching degree at the University of South Australia.
“I reached out instantly, this is exactly how I want to contribute to the community – this is exactly what I want to do,” she said. ....

Martina loves connecting with people and making a positive impact to their life. It was this drive mixed with 10 years’ experience in community development that secured her the role of Wellbeing Hub Project Officer at the City of Playford.
Since Martina Button was nine, she has always had a passion to help others with aspirations of going to Africa and becoming a missionary.
Her compassionate nature continued well into her adult life, where she found her calling working with communities, educating others and volunteering in Australia and in the United Kingdom.
