Newport Mayor Xay Khamsyvoravong has indicated interest in listening to Jamestown officials explain why the city should support efforts to restore public recreation on Gould Island. Town Administrator Jamie Hainswoth wrote a letter Dec. 22 to Khamsyvoravong asking for the Newport City Council to pass a resolution in favor of increasing the scope of the
