The MS&C and UR Compensation Plan and IBEW increase includes a 2 percent cost of living increase and an additional City Health Benefit Contribution as well as a lump sum payment for MS&C and UR “to make the compensation consistent with the COLA increases that other employees are receiving.”
 
The total two-year increase for both groups is $782,776. Considering some essential positions couldn’t be added, and the fact that there were mutterings about a “deficit” during the hearings leading up to the approval of the budget, it’s interesting how the council could now be asked to approve an increase of this magnitude. ....
