서울시가 26일 예정된 광화문 광장 ‘세월호 기억공간 철거 작업을 기존 계획대로 진행하겠다고 밝혔다. 세월호 관련 단체들과 유족들은 이를 수용할 수 없다며 맞서고 있다.
김혁 서울시 총무과장은 이날 오전 7시20분께 세월호 기억공간을 찾아 세월호 유족들에게 기억공간 철거 협조공문 전달을 시도했다. 김 과장은 공문을 전달하고 유족들을 면담하려고 했지만, 유족 쪽이 이를 거부해 김선우 4·16연대 사무처장에� ....

4월16일약속국민연대 (4·16연대)는 11일 의견문을 내고 서울시가 지난 5일 4.16세월호참사가족협의회 에 세월호 기억공간을 철거하겠다고 통보했다 고 밝혔다.

서울시 측이 밝힌 철거 시작 날짜는 26일이다.

연대 측은 서울시가 임시 이전이나 광장 재구조화 이후 기억공간 설치 등에 대한 대안은 전혀 검토하지 않았다 며 서울시장의 면담 또한 추진하지 않은 것에 유감 이라고 밝혔다.
