Date Time Mums are in for a blooming treat this Sunday The City Entrances team has transformed its renowned Victoria Street garden bed into a sea of pink petunias, green pyretherums and white cyclamen to celebrate Mother’s Day. The garden bed, complete with plants that spell out ‘Thanks Mum’ and a ring of hearts, is the work of our City Entrance gardeners Peter Blood and Matt Steel. The high-profile garden bed, on the corner of Victoria Street and Princes Street South, often marks events and celebrations ranging from Halloween to Christmas. Peter, who has worked at the City of Ballarat for 18 years including 15 years as part of the City Entrances team, says this is the fourth Mother’s Day garden bed he’s created. As a third year Apprentice Gardener, Matt has worked with the City Entrances team since March. ....
