With heavy hearts and utter sadness we regret to announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother and “Baba” Sylvia on Tuesday, May 18th, 2021, with family by her side.
She was born on November 5, 1936 in Minnedosa, Manitoba. She spent several years in the hospitality industry as a waitress for the Royal Edward Hotel. Sylvia later became a Dietary Aid at Hogarth Westmount Hospital up until her retirement at 65. Sylvia was loved and highly respected by her colleagues as well as the patients. She had an amazing way of making people laugh and brightening their day.
Our mother was an avid cook and enjoyed entertaining friends and family, which always kept them coming back for more. As a very devoted Catholic, she was an active and honorary member of the Catholic Women’s League via St. Patrick s Cathedral.
