Necessity is the mother of invention.
A local company saw the need for creating a product to measure the temperature of a person at a distance due to COVID-19.
So the company, IntelliGreen, went to work and developed the Intelli-Temp device, which not only measures a personâs temperature, but also does facial recognition.
Tony Acernese, CEO and founder, said IntelliGreen started as an internet consultant. When COVID hit, the firm pivoted in order to provide a solution to customers that would help protect them in their buildings.
Acernese has been in the lighting and advanced technology industries for the past 15 years. He said the idea for Intelli-Temp came from a conversation at an executive team meeting.
