Northern Ireland lockdown restrictions lifting from April 23 Sarah Scott
It has been a long and difficult few months as people in Northern Ireland have endured strict restrictions on their lives in a bid to beat the spread of coronavirus. But tomorrow marks the start of brighter and better times as we welcome the relaxation of some lockdown restrictions which will see normal aspects of life return.
From being able to get our hair cut and coloured, to visiting our beautiful country s many outdoor attractions, life is set to become a little more varied once again. Last week First Minister Arlene Foster and deputy First Minister Michelle O Neill announced the country had reached a point where we have established a good level of control over the virus .
She explains: I had a really tough time with depression over the summer. I had been on medication that didn t work and decided to pay to get a private consultation with a gynaecologist and a psychiatrist and I also had acupuncture. People told me they didn t know that they could book a private appointment with a consultant and get it so quickly which surprised me, and others were asking how I knew acupuncture could help. I believe the words mental health are thrown about too easily and people are told they just need to talk but sometimes it s not that simple.
