MARCUS Local track and field teams got a final tuneup before the state qualifying meets at the Jack Foresman Relays hosted by MMCRU on Monday. The Gehlen girls brought home a team title at the meet.

AKRON For the first time since 2013, Remsen St. Marys will make an appearance at the state softball tournament. This comes after the Class 1A No. 13 ranked Lady Hawks avenged a pair of regular season losses to their War Eagle Conference foe with a 6-3 win in the regional final Monday over No. 6 ranked Akron-Westfield.
Its kind of amazing, RSM pitcher Marina Cronin said. This was our goal. We kind of figured wed make it after two times playing them before and we kept getting better and better and then we got them.
