Cornerstone Church is making its presence known in Marshalltown months before the official kickoff.
The church was once again the sponsor of the Farmers to Families food drive on Tuesday. The previous drive was held Dec. 17. On Tuesday’s event, 931 30-pound boxes were handed out, with the last given as the snow began falling heavily.
Steve Bensema, the campus pastor for Cornerstone Church, suited up for the weather and directed traffic on Church Street as vehicles drove into the parking lot where volunteers were waiting to load boxes into back seats. ....
