A Montgomery man was sentenced to 43 years in prison Friday for the car-crash death of a man he was chasing. The car crashed because somebody fired bullets at it, flattening a tire.
Ernest Hardy died in 2020 in Aurora, when bullets struck the SUV he was driving, causing it to veer out of control and hit a tree. But he was not murdered, the attorney for defendant Chuckie Chatman said during opening arguments Monday at Chatman s trial. Prosecuters disagree.
