JOHOR BARU: The people are heeding the Health Ministry’s advice to impose a “self-lockdown” to reduce the number of Covid-19 cases.
This comes as the National Security Council said on Friday that it had decided to impose more restrictions on the economic and social sectors for the current movement control order.
Wholesaler Chua Kim Song, 44, said she had been limiting her movement even before MCO 3.0 was enforced.
“I only go to my shop because the nature of my business requires me to be physically around to attend to orders from my customers, ” she said. ....

Johoreans welcome MCO 3.0, says would bring Covid-19 cases under control


JOHOR BARU: Many here have welcomed the nationwide movement control order and hope that it would bring the number of Covid-19 cases down in the weeks to come.
Trader Zareen Azli, 50, said that the implementation of the MCO could help to prevent the disease from spreading beyond control.
“In terms of safety and health, imposing the nationwide MCO is definitely a good move, especially with the high number of daily new cases being reported in the past few months.
