A second bank has sued the wealthy Aspenite Dan Burrell for not repaying an eight-figure loan and is asking a judge to let it take a $39 million house of his in lieu of payment.
Pitkin County District Court Judge Christopher Seldin denied a special motion on Wednesday requesting to dismiss counterclaims filed by Jean-Pierre Conte, chairman and managing director of the private equity firm Genstar Capital, against his former girlfriend after she accused Conte of assault.
A wealthy Aspenite said that he shouldn’t have to repay $56 million in loans to a Denver bank that has caused him a “public disgrace” and is trying to foreclose on his estates.
