Rotary Club of Palm Coast Starting in March 2020, the Rotary Club of Palm Coast was forced to eliminate all of its in-person fundraising due to the pandemic. In spite of this setback, the club came up with creative solutions to continue to support community organizations. Rotary members fund all of the administrative costs for each club so that 100% of the money raised can be used for charitable giving. Key areas of focus for The Rotary Club of Palm Coast include children, maternal health, and literacy. In support of these goals, the club’s December Online Holiday Auction, along with member contributions, enabled the organization to make donations this month to both Christmas Come True and Flagler Technical College’s Adult Education programs, specifically GED scholarships for participants in the Open Door Re-Entry & Recovery Ministry. ....

3 months ago Sheriff s Office teams up with the Bike Men of Flagler County to provide bikes for kids Share The bikes were donated by the FCSO, repaired by the Bike Men, and given to Christmas Come True program. by: Brittany Kershaw Public Affairs Manager, Flagler County Sheriff’s Office The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office donated 13 bicycles on Dec. 17 from the abandoned property section of the FCSO Evidence Unit. These bicycles are in need of repair but have the potential to become a beloved form of recreation for a child. The bicycles were donated to the Bike Men of Flagler County who take bicycles or bicycle parts in any condition and recondition them for a new chance to bring joy to a child. Each year, the Bike Men of Flagler County receive bicycle donations in an effort to make children’s dreams come true by receiving a bicycle.
