“David was a humble and strong person, who believed in doing the right thing,” younger brother Robert Scott Murphy shared. “David was honest, truthful and loved life itself,” Scott reminisced. “These were the lessons our mother and our father taught us. David never forgot these lessons.”

Door County: Forestville Millpond drawdown spurs concerns on sediment

FORESTVILLE - Nearly a year and a half into the drawdown of the Forestville Millpond, residents frustrations since last summer have not been lessened.

Lookout chair's first day leads to evacuations | On Snow

I’m beginning this week with some follow-ups on reader input from previous columns.

I heard from Peter Penndorf that he had been in that race as well.
Bob Burley knew Bill McCollom as a “consummate gentleman and intrepid competitor.” Their careers overlapped both as coaches for the Killington Ski Club and as masters racers. Bob also paid a great tribute to Bill by saying, “He left every person, race and trail better for his presence.” ....
