The move comes as the fight over abortion rights have been front and center since the U.S. Supreme Court overturned the landmark decision in Roe v Wade in June.
On the streets of downtown Detroit Thursday, potential voters reacted to the Michigan Supreme Court's decision to include an abortion rights question on the ballot in November.
Both parties have claimed motivation to flood the polls after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe V Wade in the summer. And after today's decision, both sides are digging their heels in.
