Maura Daly recalled a scene last year after the Kansas City Chiefs returned home following the franchise s first Super Bowl win in 50 years.
Daly and her brother, Brendan Daly a Springfield native and assistant coach for the Chiefs along with Brendan s wife, Keely, and Keely s sister, had headed out to a neighborhood bar for a celebration. We go in, Maura Daly said, and the crowd erupted so loudly I thought my eardrums were going to burst. There were so many people who think he was the lucky charm because he moved there and (the Chiefs) won a Super Bowl.
It has been an extraordinary run for Brendan Daly, who on Sunday is coaching in his sixth Super Bowl in seven years with four rings to show for it, including three he won as an assistant with the New England Patriots.
