The group Florida men Darius Hudson, Chrishawn De’Earl Butler, Daniel Jackson, Reginald Robert Jr and Nathaniel Carr drove around in a black Dodge Durango and a white Chevrolet Malibu equipped with blue flashing lights and wore all black clothes with “Sheriff” emblazoned on them.
During the robberies, the victims and their families were awoken in the middle of the night and beaten, pistol-whipped, threatened and shot on some occasions.
Four Polk County men were accused of pretending to be law enforcement, targeting local drug dealers, and committing robberies from Hillsborough to Lee counties. Now, three are pleading guilty.
