DVSA relaxes moratorium on new ATFs

03 June 2021 Compliance In 2017, DVSA stopped accepting applications to set up new ATFs “to help us support existing ATFs and meet their needs”. The DfT’s Heavy Vehicle Testing Review has now recommended that DVSA should consider taking steps to allow more ATFs to open. The first step will be to consider applications for new ATFs under prescribed circumstances. These are if the new ATF: Is a move of premises for an existing ATF, but it is within the same geographic area Already has ‘approval in principle’ from DVSA Is in an area with a substantial shortage of ATFs, currently Orkney and mainland Highlands of Scotland

Gardens to open in support of Herefordshire hospice

TWO FIRM favourites in the St Michael’s Hospice events calendar are set to resume in the coming weeks. The eagerly-anticipated return of the Plant Fair and Open Gardens programme will come as welcome news to hospice supporters across Herefordshire and beyond. The free entry plant fair will be held at the hospice in Bartestree on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th June. Just three weeks earlier, on Sunday, 16th May, St Michael’s launches its Open Gardens season at the beautiful Whitfield Estate near Wormbridge. Spring is a beautiful time of year, and this season we’ve even more reason to celebrate its arrival, said Lynne Carter, the hospice’s income generation, marketing & communications director.
