Amazin Avenue in Conversation, Episode 20: Musician Chris Forsyth

Photo by Hiroyuki Ito/Getty Images Welcome to Amazin’ Avenue in Conversation, a podcast from Amazin’ Avenue where we invite interesting people on the show to talk about themselves, the Mets, and more. Chris Forsyth is a guitarist and songwriter who releases music as a solo artist and also as the leader of the Solar Motel Band. He compares his music to that of the late, great John Fahey, but instead of synthesizing the blues down to its most prime elements, Chris does that with rock and roll. Chris’s songs find room for improvisation without sacrificing melody. He’s also a huge Mets fan, and we talk about both of those parts of his life on today’s episode.
