While holiday deals seem to come earlier each year and shoppers increasingly turn to shopping online, many Utahns still opted for in-person Black Friday shopping this year.
The ArriveCan app has been mandatory since November 2020, first forcing travellers to disclose their COVID-19 symptoms and then as of last year requiring them to input their vaccination status into the app.

Elliot Lake celebrated the contributions of six of its long-time volunteers in typical understated 2020 fashion at the Collins Hall on Dec. 20.
This year’s recipients are: Gerry and Nicole Jean, Chris Margetts, Pat Stirling, Margaret Vivyurka and Edo Ten Broek. Presenting the awards were Mayor Dan Marchisella, Algoma-Manitoulin-Kapuskasing MP Carol Hughes and Algoma-Manitoulin MPP Mike Mantha.
