China is a world leader in terms of shipbuilding capacity and trade volume, but it is seen to lag behind in terms of services surrounding the industry, including arbitration to resolve disputes.
Starting from June 22, 2022, parties to international commercial arbitrations administered by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (“HKIAC”) can apply directly to the China.
