The Chief Commissioner of Public complaints commission, Barrister Chille Igbawua, has stated that the commission also known as the Nigerian Ombudsman, is totally independent in the course of discharging its duty.
Igbawua noted that though the institution is supervised by the National Assembly but not subjected to the control of anybody in the performance of its function.
He said this, on Monday, during a press conference organised during his official visit to the Oyo State branch of the institution located at the federal secretariat in Ibadan the Oyo State capital. ....

The President of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ayuba Wabba, has warned the management of the Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria to stop building estates for the super rich with funds deducted from poor workers’ salaries.
Wabba stated this on Wednesday at a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of an estate on an expanse of land acquired in Karshi, Nasarawa State, by the Public Complaints Commission branch of the Parliamentary Staff Association of Nigeria.
Wabba warned the FMBN to avoid a situation whereby poor homeless workers would be forced to park in to expensive houses it was building for rich men in highbrow areas, many of which he added, remained unoccupied. ....

Alleged workers' molestation: Complaints Commission to investigate Chinese coys

The Public Complaints Commission, on Monday, said it would investigate allegations of workers’ molestation by BN Ceramics and West African Ceramics in Kogi State.
Its Honourable Chief Commissioner, Chille Igbawua, said this in Abuja on Monday when a team from the Pan-African United Youth Development Network submit a petition against the companies. ....
