Bottom line, the recovery may be stalling, and theres still a ton of economic pain thats devastating large parts of the country, nearly a year after the pandemic began. Ive been party to a number of major legislative achievements like the passage of the americans with disabilities act, the creation of the chip program the Child Health Insurance program and the religious freedom restoration act, which has given, just to name just a few. These are landmark bills, and ive had a lot to do with them. The legislation before us is as important and farreaching as anything ive been privileged to work on.
