U.S. Customs and Border Protection announced in a press release on Wednesday that Border Patrol agents apprehended a confirmed MS-13 gang member who had just illegally crossed into the United States.
The press release said the agents in the San Diego Sector were patrolling near Forest Gate Road early Wednesday morning and were searching for a group of illegal entrants when one of the agents encountered six men near the border wall. They admitted to him they had illegally entered the country.
When they were arrested and brought back to the station for processing, one man, a 28-year-old El Salvadorian national, was revealed to be a documented MS-13 gang member. He, along with the five other men, will be processed for removal from the United States.

Pine Valley, California - A San Diego Sector (SDC) Border Patrol agent and off-duty firefighter prevented a woman from jumping off the Pine Valley Bridge along Interstate 8 early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 7 a.m., while driving eastbound on I-8, a Border Patrol agent observed a woman standing on the rails of the Pine Valley Bridge near the westbound traffic lanes. The agent quickly turned around and was joined by an off-duty firefighter. The agent and firefighter physically removed the woman from the edge of the bridge and secured her for her safety.

San Diego Sector Border Patrol agents found two small children after human smugglers abandoned them near Jacumba, California. The children were alone and crying when agents found them.
Agents patrolling the border near Jacumba observed a man and woman walking along the Mexican side of the border. The agents continued watching the couple who also had two small children with them, according to information obtained from San Diego Sector Border Patrol officials.
Yesterday afternoon, #BorderPatrol agents rescued 2 siblings, ages 5 & 6, who were abandoned by smugglers in a remote area along the U.S./Mexico Border. Their mother’s phone number was written on the children’s forearms.
