The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has submitted a status report to the High Court outlining the measures being taken to improve access to toilets in the city. This includes opening up toilets in Indira Canteen for public use and considering allowing the general public to use toilets in public restaurants and hotels.

These measures include allowing the toilets in 172 Indira Canteen , which was meant only for the staff, for public use.
