Galesburg firefighters were called to the scene of a reported structure fire on Rona Drive Tuesday afternoon. According to the press release, 11 personnel from
Galesburg Firefighters fought a structure fire on Wednesday afternoon on the 400 block of Lincoln Street. All three Galesburg stations responded, including 11 personnel on duty. When crews arrived they found a detached garage with heavy smoke showing. Battalion Chief Donald Brackett established command and all three stations used multiple hose lines to extinguish the blaze. No injuries were reported but preliminary damage estimates are at $5,000. GFD is continuing to investigate what started the fire.
