A raging fire tore through a Bronx apartment building Saturday morning, injuring nine people who were rushed to the hospital, including a pregnant woman
The fire broke out inside a third floor apartment of a six-story building on Grand Ave. near W. 184th St. in University Heights about 6:15 a.m. and quickly tore through the building, FDNY officials said.
The necessity of self-closing doors, which are a city requirement in large residential buildings, were highlighted in the horrific Twin Parks fire last month which killed 17 people.
