A 25-year-old woman was shot inside a Bern Township hotel early Thursday, Berks County detectives said.
About 2:10 a.m., Berks 9-1-1 dispatchers received a report of a shooting inside Econo Lodge Inn & Suites, 2017 Bernville Road, Chief County Detective Michael J. Gombar said.
Bern police responded along with officers from surrounding departments.

Police located the victim, who suffered a life-threatening gunshot wound inside a guest room.
Emergency medical personnel treated the victim at the scene and transported her to a local trauma center. Information on her condition was unavailable.
County detectives were called to the crime scene along with members of the district attorneyâs forensic services unit.
