HIGHLAND PARK, Ill. - Police in a Chicago suburb visited the home of the suspect in the Fourth of July mass shooting twice in 2019, including after one report that Robert E. Crimo III told a family member he planned to "kill everyone."
They removed knives and a sword from his home in Highland Park, Ill., in September 2019 after his family reported that he had threatened to “kill everyone,” an official said.
A seventh person has died from the mass shooting in Highland Park, Illinois. Police said today the gunman pre-planned the July Fourth attack for several weeks. More than 30 other people were injured after the suspect fired over 70 rounds during a holiday parade. While the community grieves, law enforcement is still trying to determine a motive.
