The test results of a chemical spill in Bear Creek show the water is not harmful to the public, but it has potentially impacted aquatic life, according to the Macomb County Public Works Commissioner.
Public Works Commissioner Candice Miller said inspectors spotted numerous wildlife and waterfowl in and about the drain, which shows how important is for the public being "good environmental stewards."
Macomb County Public Works Director Candice Miller said today she believes most of the green substance discovered in Bear Creek this week has been captured and praised the quick response of contractors who initially discovered the leak.
