Only five months after the mother/daughter team of Dee, 51, and Zoga Sturce, 31, opened a special occasion dress shop in Richmond Valley, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic shuttered all businesses. “It was gut-wrenching when we had to close,” said Dee Sturce, co-owner of Le Chic Couture. “It was like I never knew what anxiety was before. .Just when we started to pick up with business in March, we were forced to close our doors and wait out the pandemic.” And while the Huguenot residents reopened their shop on July 1, 2020, the Sturces said they lost a lion’s share of their business because large catered affairs were prohibited for a year. ....
