Lanarkshire 209 bus service cut after window shattered by thugs

Brutes damaged a bus during an attack this week
A BUS service terrorised by teenage thugs has been cut back following a spate of attacks.
Transport bosses have confirmed the 209 route between Bellshill and Motherwell will now terminate at Ladywell Road, ensuring a walk of more than a mile for travellers to the previous former stop on Watling Street.
The move comes as a result of months of vandalism on buses, the latest of which saw a windscreen damaged by brutes this week.
No one was hurt in the incident but it has proven to be the final straw with Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) chiefs, who say they have taken the difficult decision to protect the safety of staff and passengers. ....
