Our Summer Camp has completed five days, with many hundreds of new players being trained. The camp is being held at the Phoenix Marketcity Mall in Mumbai and is open to all. There are no charges and people can learn chess in a fun and engaging way, at their own pace. Trainers and volunteers help to educate the public and guide them in the right direction. 16-year-old Dommaraju Gukesh is one of the brightest talents of India and World Chess. He is now World no.18 with a FIDE Rating of 2730. The current India no.2 graced the ChessBase India Chess Club with his presence on Saturday, 18th March 2023. There was a big challenge in front of him – he was to give a simultaneous exhibition to 21 players, with the top five seeds having an Elo rating of over 2000. On 26th of July 2022, the chess world will be treated to a unique, one of its kind chess show - the ChessBase India Originals Death Match between Anish Giri and Vidit Gujrathi. Anish Giri is world no.10 and Dutch no.1. Vidit Gujrathi is India no.3 and world no.28. The Death match between them will be held at the Dublin Square in the Phoenix Marketcity, Mumbai. What is the format of the match, what is the prize money, who are the hosts and commentators of the show, are there any exhibition matches? All of this is mentioned in the article. Apart from this we also have organized an open rapid tournament on 25th of July for all chess lovers and the top 10 will get a chance to play a simul against Anish and Vidit.
