Abandon their vehicle. Everybody was like get out, get out reporter you were running . Yes, everybody was running jumping out the car. It was serious. Reporter as a the smoke thickened inside the tunnel, people said it was tough to breathe. Imagine being stuck inside during a barbecue and the barbecue being inside ten times worse. It was pretty bad. You felt like you needed to get out of the tunnel. Reporter look what is left. This was a ford taurus. The ford hit this saturn before bursting into flames. The driver saw the fire and had to think fast. I panicked and i couldnt get out of the car because the doors were locked. I tried to kick the door out. I had to kick this door out to get out of the car. Reporter longtime bay area residents couldnt help but think about the deadly accident that happened in the tunnel in 1982 when seven people were killed. Scary. It brought flash backs of the tanker blowing up years ago. I know i was a kid but it had that feel to it, so everybody felt that ....
